A group of tourists visited a crocodile farm, not suspecting that this day would change someone’s life. They stood on floating platforms in the middle of a lake teeming with crocodiles, tensely listening to the farm owner, who loudly announced, “Whoever jumps into the water and swims to the shore will receive 10 million dollars!”

A deafening silence fell over the group. No one moved; no one wanted to become a crocodile’s lunch for any amount of money.

Suddenly, a splash broke the silence, and one of the men was in the water! Everyone froze, watching as he swam toward the shore like a man possessed, surrounded by hungry predators. It seemed the crocodiles were snapping their jaws just a fraction of a second too late as he made each desperate stroke. He reached the shore—alive and unharmed, though utterly exhausted.

The farm owner, impressed by his bravery, announced, “We have a winner!” and handed the man a check for 10 million dollars.

Later, back in their hotel room, the man, still in disbelief, turned to his wife and said, “I didn’t jump into the water… Someone pushed me!”

His wife, smiling with a hint of mystery, replied in a calm tone, “It was me.”
